by RockStar · 25 comments

Reggie Gold and Spinology at New BeginningsThe Biggest RockStar in the Chiropractic profession talks about Chiropractic, Philosophy, Principles, and Spinology at New Beginnings.  Reggie Gold is an icon in the Chiropractic Profession and responsible for keeping “Straight” Chiropractic alive and well.  Reggie lays it all out on the line in this RockStar Interview and literally calls out who he thinks is responsible for the bastardization of the Chiropractic Profession.  Is there a better way to practice “Real” Chiropractic?  This may be the most Rocking Interview to date on the Project that reveals the answer to “What’s Next in Chiropractic”.

If this Interview doesn’t make you think about your Profession…  Then you’re just not a Real Chiropractor.

About RockStar
I have fallen in LOVE with Chiropractic, and more importantly, I have fallen in LOVE with the Philosophy of Chiropractic. My Purpose is to share my story of Chiropractic, and along the way I hope to inspire more Chiropractors to turn away from Therapeutic Chiropractic, and to get Fueled for Pure Chiropractic.

It was a phenomenal interview…  Just being around Reggie Rocked.

  • Todd Waters

Great interview Jason, I like your style. Reggie Gold fascinates me and I’m glad you had a chance at NB to interview him. I met him there also and he is very nice and genuine. Pure Gold.

Thanks to Reggie we have a back door for practicing the way we love  if the CCE cuts our throats and waters Chiropractic down to chiromediopractic. But this doesn´t mean that we should not fight the demon acting within our belove profession!
Wonderful words, wonderful interview and thanks to you, Jason, I understood for the first time, why Reggie is such a big number in Chiropractic though he´s the inventor of Spinology (which is not very liked by some straights)…
    Thank you guys!

Awesome Tobias…  Getting Connected to the movers in the Principled movement is HUGE.  Be careful who you associate with though…  There’s a lot of wolves wearing Chiropractic Leader suites.

        Thanks for your good advice!
Well, I listen to many people, think about what I’ve heard and come to my own conclusions. Best way to filter all the stuff being around and stay focused.
Many people think they found the way to salvation and keep preaching…

It’s just the way you said it on facebook: become unique – not a copycat!
To become unique you should not be focused on making friends but staying focused towards your goal!
I think we all are good in chasing away new patients/ practice members, but for the price of staying our selves and “true”…
We’re not here for being/ making friends, we’re here to adjust subluxations!

So: Rock on and keep adjusting subluxations, ’cause that’s what we’re here for!

        • http://www.therscproject.com Jason Ulsrud

Couldn’t have said it better buddy…  I’m not here to make friends.  I’m here to fight for Chiropractic and to adjust Subluxated Lives.

Award winning cinematography … simply amazing.  Oh, the content was kool too ;)

Reggie is a living legend.  Rough.  Raw.  In-Your-Face.  Is the reason Jason loves him so much.

      You got that right…

My family and I got the opportunity to eat lunch with Reggie and Irene Gold at Sherman Lyceum 2010… one of the best memories I have in Chiropractic. It was reading about Reggie and listening to his CDs in the back of the class in crappy chiropractic school that helped me finally understand true ChiropracTIC. One of the all time greats… only 4 people I believe have had a profession changing influence on the Chiropractic… DD, BJ, Sid Williams, and Reggie Gold.

    • http://www.therscproject.com Jason Ulsrud

True dat Brandon…  Reggie is a RockStar

  • http://www.myencinitaschiropractor.com Encinitas Chiropractor

how about how reggie talks about bj should’ve trademarked or copyrighted the word chiropractic,  just like he did with spinology

    • http://www.therscproject.com Jason Ulsrud

I know…  How differently would Chiropractic look today if he’d done that?

Reggie absutely rocks. Probably the best interview I have ever heard. WTG Jason. I love the idea of spinology. I am getting close to writing on my buisiness card: Chiropractic for the enhancement and improvement of Your Function. Good for Women, Pregnant Ladies, Mothers, Babies, Children and Athletes. We are in for the Marathon of life. :)

    • http://www.therscproject.com Jason Ulsrud

Sounds like an AWESOME business card.  Rock It brother….

  • Cliff burton

    jason,
Do you think sherman is still the school to go to?

    • http://www.therscproject.com Jason Ulsrud

      Cliff Burton?  LOL  Love it!

Yes, I do still think Sherman is the best school.  It’s not without it’s problems, however.

  • Cliff burton

Care to expand on what you just said about not without its problems? Im about to invest alot of time and money into becoming a DC. Did reggie withdraw his support from sherman?

P.S  My life is Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth and CHIROPRACTIC!

    • http://www.therscproject.com Jason Ulsrud

Definitely don’t let anything you see or hear detour you from becoming a DC, rather let it FUEL you.  Reggie and Sherman did have a little falling out about the direction the school was going, but you have to realize Sherman had a choice.  They could either stick to their Principles and possibly go out of business due to lack of accreditation and therefor students, or they could cower to the CCE (the accrediting system in Chiropractic) and stay open.  They’re the only school who has resisted this long, but unfortunately The System is strong.

Sherman is still by far the best Chiropractic School to go to for several reasons, but most importantly because of the students and Principled Chiropractors associated with the school.

When you start school, let me know and I’ll put you in contact with some RockStar Chiropractors who live and practice there close to Sherman.

Sherman is a Phenomenal Choice of Schools….

Oh, and we definitely need more Metalheads in Chiropractic.

      Rock On brother….

Thank U Jason, This was an awsome interview. I have been playing in my mind for a long time to become a spinologist. In fact I was thinking of ehy not join hands w u and give each other a spinologist degree.
Well the last words of the wise man (Reggie) have put an end to my thoughts.
Yet how should we explain it.

Life is a stress line that creates misalignment – subluxation in the spine and nervous system. Subluxations reduce the abilities of the nervous system, spinal cord and brain. Thus subluxations cause the person (child) to function less than their abilities (potencial). Regullar adjustment increase nerve flaw and correct subluxation.
This is the reason people who want to function at their best, should get adjusted weekly, in order to correct small subluxation and function at their best.
Chiropractic is best for the whole family.

Thanks Ronen…  This is probably my most fav interview to date.  Reggie has just recently had a huge effect on me as a Chiropractor.

It’s sad that he’s gone, but it’s important that we take his vision of Chiropractic and move forward with it.  We have a lot of work to do, and it’s going to take Chiropractors with a will to push the envelope to get it done.
